excited for what is next
A month and a half ago, I had no idea that I would be leading for the first time at Timber Wolf Lake, let alone leading my baby sister. I have been excited to meet girls at Pioneer who I could lead and bring to God, knowing that we would cross paths on God’s time. But when I got the opportunity to lead my sister, Sarah, and her best friend, Ellie, with my fellow leader and friend Holly, I was elated! They showed me what it means to be a leader and in two nights, I learned so much about Sarah that I wouldn't have known had we not spent this weekend together.
Between tubing down a very snowy hill, climbing the wall in the gym and singing their hearts out during club, these girls were always excited for whatever was next. There was so much joy and laughter the entire time. To see them so willing to open up at cabin time and share about their relationships with God was a beautiful thing to witness. I am so grateful for this opportunity God has given me and so excited to lead my sister and her friends next year at Pioneer. Getting a taste of what being a leader is like has made me even more excited and prepared to meet many new girls and introduce them to Jesus. I’m so glad that my sister gets to be one of those girls.
